Connect with Me

Hey there, I’m Hannah! I am a mom of 3, aspiring marathon runner, and transplanted
farm girl. My career and life story is anything but typical and this helps me hear stories
through a more authentic lens. While I am a counselor, I am also a physician’s wife,
PhD student, and active community volunteer. I approach mental health as a
component of the whole person, including physical and spiritual well-being. I work with
teens and families, couples navigating major life transitions, student athletes, and
professionals in high-pressure work environments. I put my career on hold to provide
stability for my family while my husband served in the military. We welcomed 3 kids in 4
years and moved 6 times in 8 years. The strain of raising young kids, learning how to
live with ADHD, and unraveling my own childhood trauma nearly broke my marriage
and led me to re-establish my priorities and focus on my personal strengths and
dreams. I believe everyone has a chapter in their story that serves as a turning point
and a defining moment.

Professionally, I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, a Nationally Certified
Counselor, and a certified Clinical Trauma Professional. My approach is non-
judgmental, authentic, and focused on how the individual operates within their system
(self, family, and community). I am continually seeking opportunities to grow and learn
professionally. I am a member of the sports medicine community in ND and am working
toward my PhD in Counseling Education and Supervision. Therapy isn’t a straight line;
every journey is different and each person works through things at their own pace. My
clients typically find greater self-awareness and confidence after working with me. I
work with couples navigating life transitions and help families find strength and hope in
their journey. I work with individuals with eating disorders, and those who may over-
exercise to cope with stress. I have experience teaching and presenting and hope to
inspire others with my love of learning.
In my free time, you can find me trying to read (with at least one kid in my lap, and a
dog on my feet) and cooking, but my true love is running. I have run a handful of races,
but running has always been how I feel most whole and alive. Nothing compares to the
smell of freshly mown hay in spring and the crunch of gravel under my shoes as the
miles go by.
When you walk into my office, I hope you feel hope and warmth. You don’t have to face
things by yourself anymore; we will work together to write your next chapter and help
you find the inner strength you need to love yourself and thrive again.
